Dr. Bentivegna has been in practice in Rocky Hill for over 20 years. Dr. Raji has been in the are for more than 15 years. Patients still talk to a live voice when they call the office. We have three friendly staff members: Mrs. Gail Boutot, Mrs. Donna Konvent and Mrs. Valerie McDonald. They are dedicated to maintaining a warm and friendly atmosphere in the office. Dr. Bentivegna does the entire eye examination himself. All patients are welcome, whether complex surgical cases or routine eye exams. Contact lenses are dispensed and all eye emergencies are welcome and given priority. Dr. Bentivegna can also perform eye exams in Spanish, Italian, Haitian Creole and French.

Dr. Bentivegna is an attending physician at Hartford Hospital but all surgery is done at Hartford Hospital Eye Surgery Center in Newington. This facility is operated by over 35 physicians dedicated to providing their patients the highest quality of eye care. Over 8,000 cataract operations are done annually, the highest number of any ophthalmic surgery center in the United States. Dr. Bentivegna has personally performed 5,000 cataract operations. Dr. Bentivegna also performs Refractive Lensectomy, a procedure that can eliminate dependency on glasses.
